# How to request a vacation or absence

> Vacations, sick leaves, days off and other absences are requested via “My absences” — the application is generated automatically.

      <Step title="Open “My absences”">
        In the left menu choose Absences → My absences. Here you can see all your requests and their statuses: draft, under review, approved. Click the “Request” button in the top-right corner.

      <Step title="Choose the absence type">
        In the “Vacation type” field pick the type you need: annual paid leave, sick leave, unpaid leave, day off, remote work and others. Each type has a description with a reference to the Labor Code of Kazakhstan.

      <Step title="Set the period and check your balance">
        Fill in the “From” and “To” dates and the reason if required. Below, the system immediately shows your day balance: available now, available by the start of the absence, and requested.

      <Step title="Click “Next” and review the draft">
        The system creates a draft request: period, number of days and the approval route. For vacations, the application is generated automatically in two languages (Russian and Kazakh) with your name, position and dates. Nothing needs to be typed.

      <Step title="Sign and send">
        Click “Sign and send”, then scan the QR code in eGov Mobile or sign with NCA EDS.

      <Step title="Keep an eye on your day balance">
        The “Balance” tab shows what's left for each vacation type on a year map: available, used and planned days. “My calendar” shows your absences and the production calendar; “Colleagues” shows who on the team is away.

        The button is in the bottom-right corner. You can also request leave from Profile → Absences.

      <Step title="Choose an absence type">
        Annual leave, sick leave, a day off, remote work, study leave and others. Your company configures the list — the type names stay in Russian.

      <Step title="Set the period">
        Tap “Select period” and mark the first and last day in the calendar. Above it sits a description of the absence type with a reference to the Labour Code article.

      <Step title="Check the day balance">
        Once the dates are set you get a breakdown: available now, available by the start of the leave, requested, and remaining after. A reason is optional.

      <Step title="Send and sign">
        Tap “Send” — the request gets a number and the status “On signing”. Then tap “Sign”.

      <Step title="Choose a signing method">
        eGov Mobile — your personal signature through the eGov app. eGov Business — signing on behalf of the organisation. NCA digital signature — a key file on the phone.

  ⚠️ Requests must be submitted in advance — if the date is too close, the system shows “Submission deadline has passed”. In that case move the dates later.
